WOMEN PUT OUT OF A MILWAUKEE SHELTER SAY THAT THEY WERE TARGETED BECAUSE THEY TOLD THE TRUTH ABOUT THE CONDITIONS AND THE TREATMENT OF THE WOMEN IN THE SHELTER

This week I’ll be digging deeper into the incident that happened at the Sojourner Truth Shelter that left several black women, and children without any where to go. The women say this all steamed from a post that a woman from the shelter posted online to ToryLowe.com that stated that the shelter needed to be investigated.
According to the women who was involved the staff at the Sojourner Truth Shelter pretended to be private investigators and asked several women how they felt about the shelter. All the women who expressed how they felt about the conditions were put out immediately. I called to speak to Carmen the CEO of the Sojourner Truth Shelter who basically stated that anyone that doesn’t follow protocol with in their shelter community are released.
The original post about the conditions and the treatment came from a woman who was put out late at night with her children without anywhere to go after complaining about what was going on inside the shelter. Go to ToryLowe.com to read the story.
I spent this Mother’s Day weekend helping these women find places for their children to lay their heads until we can get them a place to stay. Thank you to everyone who helped assist this unfortunate situation. May God bless you 100x fold. We will get to the bottom of this. There was also a death in Sojourner of a lady who supposedly passed late on a Friday night-but was not found till Sunday evening. I was a resident there at this time. Questionable circumstances?Absolutely 100%…. This organization is ran by people with lots and lots of money- which means ALOT of protection and cover up as well.
